Internet Connection Wizard

One of the reasons that Internet Explorer was originally removed from Windows 95 was the complexity of set up. Connecting to the Internet requires all sorts of strange and technical information that most people don't have, so this wizard - like the one used on MSN CDs, unsurprisingly - just asks you how you want to connect, either though a new ISP, an existing account or a LAN. If it is one of the latter, you will need some of your account information (the PC's not that clever) or some of your network settings if you're using a LAN.

For most, it makes the process as simple as possible by adding a modem, finding a local ISP and signing the user up. Internet connection without the fuss.
